Custom Machined Parts
Sykam's in-house machining capability — used to produce our own instrument components — is also available for custom projects. We manufacture precision PEEK and stainless steel parts for special chromatography configurations, instrument integration, and OEM applications. Custom column hardware, valve manifolds, flow-cell bodies, and reactor components are part of our capabilities.
PEEK Machining
Machined from solid natural PEEK — no additives or fillers. Excellent surface quality and dimensional precision. Chemically resistant across the full pH range. Used for preparative column bodies, custom flow-cell windows, valve manifolds, and biocompatible instrument interfaces.
Stainless Steel Machining
High-precision stainless steel components with optional DiaDur (DLC) coating for maximum wear resistance on moving surfaces. Used for valve stators, pump heads, custom fittings, and high-pressure manifolds.
DiaDur (DLC) Coating
Sykam's proprietary DiaDur diamond-like carbon coating is applied to stainless steel stator surfaces in the S 6000 valve series — and is available for custom parts requiring extreme wear resistance. Near-diamond hardness, very low abrasion, chemical stability against salt buffers and aggressive solvents.
Custom Column Hardware
Preparative PEEK column bodies machined from solid stock (50 mm, 70 mm ID; 150–500 mm active height). Glass-ceramic frits, steel burst protection rings, PEEK closure hardware. Custom dimensions available on request.
