HPLC pumps

Precise Solvent Delivery for Every Application

Flow rate, mobile phase chemistry, and application scale are the defining variables of any HPLC method — and the pump is where all three meet. Sykam manufactures a range of HPLC pumps covering the full spectrum: from micro-analytical flows to semi-preparative throughput, from simple isocratic methods to complex four-solvent gradients. All pump heads are available in stainless steel or fully inert PEEK construction, and each model is engineered in Fürstenfeldbruck to deliver the flow precision and pressure stability that reliable chromatography demands.

Isocratic

S 1122 — Isocratic HPLC Pump

Reliable dual-piston delivery in a compact footprint

The S 1122 uses a short-stroke dual-piston design with just two valves — combining the simplicity of a single-piston pump with the low pulsation of a dual-piston system. The delivery piston operates on a 2 mm stroke while the damping piston works at 1 mm, and microprocessor-controlled speed regulation continuously corrects for pressure-dependent flow deviations. The result is highly consistent solvent delivery across the full operating range, regardless of back pressure. Operating parameters are displayed in plain text via an alphanumeric panel for quick readout and adjustment.

Isocratic / gradient

S 1125 — Isocratic / Low-Pressure Gradient Pump

Flexible delivery from micro to semi-preparative scale

The S 1125 is a high-performance solvent delivery system available as an isocratic pump or as the S 1125G quaternary gradient configuration. Flow rates are programmable from 0.001 ml/min (micro) up to 40 ml/min (semi-preparative), with flow precision of ±0.1% RSD and a pressure range up to 40 MPa (6000 PSI). Wetted materials include stainless steel or PEEK, Teflon AF®, PVDF, ceramic, sapphire, and ruby. An optional integrated vacuum degasser and active piston wash are available for demanding applications.

Platform

S 1130 — Isocratic / Low- and High-Pressure Gradient Pump

One pump platform, three configurations

The S 1130 is Sykam's most versatile pump platform — configurable as an isocratic pump, a quaternary low-pressure gradient system (S 1130G), or a binary high-pressure gradient pump (S 1132). A high-performance stepper motor delivers exceptional resolution at low flow rates, and the sealed, permanently lubricated camshaft mechanism keeps maintenance requirements low. The active mixer ensures precise gradient formation across all configurations. Mixer volume is adjustable from 10 to 500 µl, and gradient accuracy is better than 0.25%. Available in micro, analytical, and semi-preparative variants in stainless steel or PEEK.

Syringe pump

S 1610 — Syringe Pump

Pulse-free delivery for post-column derivatisation and complex media

The S 1610 is a continuous-flow syringe pump designed for applications that require pulsation-free delivery — particularly post-column derivatisation in amino acid analysis. Two interchangeable inert Hamilton syringes are driven by independently controlled stepper motors, providing resolution of 1:4000 across the full stroke. A motor-driven switching valve manages fill and dispense cycles, with pre-compression during switching to minimise pressure drops. Flow capacity ranges from 8 ml/min (1 ml syringe) to 80 ml/min (10 ml syringe). Handles complex media including high-biomass suspensions reliably.

Quaternary gradient

S 2100 — Quaternary Gradient Pump

Compact, feature-rich gradient pump with on-board diagnostics

The S 2100 is a compact dual-piston high-pressure pump with an integrated quaternary low-pressure gradient mixer, suitable for micro, analytical, and preparative HPLC. Flow rates range from 0.01 ml/min (micro) to 40 ml/min (preparative), with operating pressures up to 400 bar in the stainless steel version. Gradient steps are programmable in 0.1% increments across four channels. The large backlit graphic display provides real-time visualisation of gradient and pressure profiles, with on-board diagnostics including pressure logging with upper and lower threshold alerts. Eight time-programmable relay outputs allow direct control of external system components. Optional integrated vacuum degasser available.
